The taskforce tackling rural crime

We have dedicated Rural Crime Teams covering Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire, which bring together the skills and resources of specialist officers and staff who are passionate about tackling rural crime.

Our Rural Crime Officers are dedicated assets responding to any 999 calls from rural communities, and work closely with their patrol colleagues as well as Neighbourhood Policing Teams to respond efficiently and carry out regular proactive operations focused on disrupting individuals who are actively involved in this type of offending.

As part of Response Policing Week, we caught up with one of our Rural Task Force Sergeants, Paul Burnett, who sits on the Southbank covering everywhere from Whitgift to Owston Ferry, all the way across to Humberston, and back again.

His patch covers over 2000km of roads winding through our rural countryside, so let’s find out more about how he does it 👇
